Our founders and leaders have a track record of scaling bold ideas: our chairman Johann Koss and founder Ric Young once took the intuition that play could transform children’s lives and built Right to Play, which now reaches millions across fifteen countries. In the same way, Trust Here aims to elevate social trust to the status of a core democratic indicator, on par with GDP or crime rates.Social trust, the belief in others’ trustworthiness is a cornerstone of thriving societies, shaping our lives and communities. Christine Fløysand is a strategic, purpose-driven leader with more than 15 years of experience working across government, business, and international partnerships. She brings a strong ability to translate complex challenges into practical solutions that strengthen communities and deliver measurable impact. Grounded in trust and collaboration, Christine is driven by helping diverse stakeholders move forward together — turning vision into action and enabling sustainable transformation where it matters most.
Ric Young | Founder
Ric Young, founder of Trust Here, is recognized as one of Canada’s leading practitioners and thinkers in the field of social change over the past 25 years. He has also founded one of the world’s first social innovation think tanks focused on transformational social innovation. Working with government, non-government, corporate and community leaders, he has been the architect of numerous initiatives to address some of society’s most complex and pressing challenges. He is a fellow of The Royal Society of Arts and was awarded The Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal in recognition of his contributions to society. And he was recently adopted as a respected elder by the Maasai tribe.
Johann Olav Koss | Board Chair
Johann Olav Koss, an Olympic speed skater turned philanthropic leader, is the founder of Fire A, a venture capital firm that specializes in ESG and sustainable businesses, demonstrating his commitment to using his extensive investment experience for social good. As the visionary behind Right To Play, he has successfully leveraged the power of sport and play to foster positive development in children, with the organization reaching millions globally.
